Saturday night, WATZ radio held their annual WATZ listener appreciation party & ultimate deer blind giveaway at the Alpena Events Complex.
The party had free admission, with the doors opening at five. The live music for the party was the Country PoorBoys, on the Builders First Source stage. In addition, hors d’oeuvres and other snacks were supplied by Nowicki’s Sausage Shoppe.
There were quite a few door prizes, and three lucky listeners got the chance to try out the brand new cash cube, sponsored by Northland Area Federal Credit Union. There were also raffles provided by Friends Together-Alpena, and the Second Chance Animal Shelter.
The biggest prize was the tricked out deer blind, to be given to the qualified winner, one of the 800 people in attendance. The deer blind included a Predator 1800 watt generator, a Vizio sound system, 55″ flat screen tv, a recliner, and a custom Miller Lite cooler with quite a few cases of the beer too.
