Warm Temperatures & Rain Showers In The Afternoon

Alpena MI – Temperatures today made it in the upper 40s to lower 50s in spots which was 15-20 degrees warmer than 24 hours. Winds were gusty at around 25-30 mph. Tonight we will have mostly clear skies with lows dropping to only the upper 30s. Winds will be west southwest at 15-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy with showers developing in the afternoon hours; mild with highs in the lower 50s in spots. Winds will be out of the west southwest at 10-20 mph with gusts as high as 30 mph. Rainfall will not amount to much but we will have some rain, but our drought monitor shows that we are in the abnormally dry category. This means that we have a rainfall deficit for now.
