Unemployment Goes Relatively Unchanged in Northeast Michigan for October

The Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget recently released statistics on the unemployment rate throughout Michigan for the month of October.
Most regions showed a decline in unemployment throughout the state. Northeast Michigan sits at 5.8%, staying the same as September but slightly up from October of 2017 (5.7%). Alpena County posted the lowest unemployment rate of the region at 4.7% in October. Michigan’s unemployment rate sits at 4.2% for October of 2017.
