Underwater remotely operate vehicle competition coming this weekend

Alpena, Mich. — Underwater robots will takeover the Sunrise Side this Saturday.
The Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary is gearing up to host the 2019 Great Lakes Regional MATE ROV Competition. The competition features students from all over Michigan, showcasing their underwater remotely operate vehicles (ROV). Competitors must give a presentation, and they have to perform different tasks with their vehicle.
