Tree Falls Through House in Lachine
A tree fell through a Lachine family’s home on Wednesday night due to the strong storms.
According to the homeowner Daniel Cox, he, his wife April, and their family were sitting down watching a movie at around 8pm when they heard what sounded like a loud thunder sound.
They looked up and saw the two large pieces of the tree in their front yard piercing through the ceiling. The tree also landed on a power line.
Cox called 9-1-1, and the fire department was called shortly thereafter.
The Green Township Fire Department responded to the call within 20 minutes. The power company arrived on scene at approximately 9pm. Despite the tree falling on a power line, their home did not lose power, and no one was injured.
