Three area athletes sign National Letter of Intent

ALPENA, Mich. — Last Friday, three different area athletes signed their National Letters of Intent to continue their athletic careers with Alpena Community College.

First, Melanie Morrison from Hillman signed with the Lumberjacks to play both softball and basketball in Alpena. Madeline Hardies played softball and volleyball for the Rogers City Hurons, and will be continuing her volleyball career with the Lumberjacks’ squad in the spring.

Avery Zipp, a softball and volleyball star at Charlevoix, had already signed to play softball with ACC earlier this year. Last week, she signed again with the Lumberjacks, this time to join Hardies and the volleyball team for the upcoming season.

Congratulations to these ladies and we wish them all a happy and healthy collegiate career.
