The Alpena FFA Host Their Annual Fruit Sale Fundraiser
The Alpena FFA has started their annual fruit sale. The fundraiser helps the group maintain funds to keep up with their programs for the future generation of farmers.
FFA advisor, Melissa Smith said the fundraiser helps her students learn leadership skills while participating in community service.
“This fundraiser is something that we’ve done annually for many, many years since our FFA program. It’s something that our community members look forward to because this provides a nutritional, healthy fundraiser for our kids, and help with their leadership skills by helping them communicate with the public and deliver products and have that sales experience as well in our program,” Smith said.
This is the only fundraiser the Alpena FFA has for the year. The fruit sale includes Michigan apples, nuts, and oranges. You can place an order with smith or any FFA member at Alpena High School until December 1st. Deliveries will began December 13th through the 15th.
