The 5th Down: Week Seven
The high school football season has quickly flown by. WBKB Sports visited several schools in the area to catch some of week seven’s best moments.
The Alpena Wildcats (1-6) hosted the Sault Ste Marie Blue Devils (5-2) in their homecoming matchup. The Wildcats fell by a final score of 21-6 to the Blue Devils. Coming up, Alpena welcomes in the Escanaba Eskymos (1-5) on October 13.
The Hillman Tigers (1-6) also had their homecoming game hosting the Atlanta Huskies (3-4). Atlanta defeated Hillman by a final score of 36-6. The Huskies visit the Posen Vikings (6-0) and the Tigers travel taking on the Charlton Heston Patriots (1-6) on October 13.
The Alcona Tigers (6-1) visited the Au Gres-Sims Wolverines (6-1). Alcona took down the undefeated Wolverines by a score of 42-12. The Tigers welcome in the Rogers City Hurons and the Wolverines visit the Onekama Portagers (3-3) on October 14.
The Rogers City Hurons (4-3) traveled to take on the Mio Thunderbolts (1-6). The Hurons defeated the Thunderbolts by a final score of 36-28. Coming up, Rogers City visits Alcona while Mio travels to face the Whittemore-Prescott Cardinals (3-3).
