Structure Fire at Thunder Bay Estates in Alpena
A structure fire broke out at Thunder Bay Estates on Ripley boulevard in Alpena late Thursday afternoon.
According to Alpena Township Fire Department lieutenant Chris Stephens, there were two adults and two children in the home who noticed a fire in the bedroom. They immediately evacuated the house and called 9–1–1. The township fire department was close by and responded quickly. They were able to control the fire from the outside until reinforcements arrived. The main damage was in the front room of the residence, while the rest of the home received mostly smoke damage. There were no injuries reported.
