Stop signs added at 2nd Avenue and Miller Street intersection
ALPENA, Mich. – Additional safety measures have been put into place at 2nd Avenue and Miller Street in Alpena.
Earlier this week, two stop signs were added to the intersections.
The City of Alpena said the stop signs don’t change the flow of traffic for drivers.
They say traffic on Miller Street should stop on either side and continue driving when deemed safe.
City officials said both the stop signs and traffic light must stay in place for 90 days to allow residents to adapt before the traffic light is removed sometime this summer.
