Salvation Army seeking kettle bell ringers, volunteers ahead of Christmas

ALPENA, Mich — If you’ve been out and about, you’ve probably seen Salvation Army kettle bell ringers dressed in red at number of stores in the area. The organization needs volunteers to continue this effort and make the season bright.

The Salvation Army in Alpena is seeking kettle bell ringers, stuff a blue goose food packers, and thrift store volunteers ahead of Christmas. The most well–known way to volunteer around this time year is kettle bell ringing, with nearly 30 percent of the organization’s  funding for the year coming from the initiative.

Cedervall says there are open shifts across the area for individuals, friends, and other groups to ring kettle bells. In addition to food packing or volunteering at the thrift store, there are other ways to donate your time this holiday season, including financial literacy classes, technology seminar, and anything else that may benefit the public.
