Preparation for the Bagley Street bridge project begins Thursday
ALPENA, Mich. — The Alpena County Road Commission will begin preparation for the Bagley Street Bridge project.
Maintenance work will begin Thursday, October 8, on Eleventh Avenue between Park Street and Chisholm Street as Eleventh Avenue will be part of the detour route in the future. Park Street between Ninth Avenue and Eleventh Avenue will also be under construction.
Signage and barricades will be present to guide traffic through and traffic will be reduced to one lane with lane shifts throughout the project.
The work is expected to take two days to complete unless weather or construction delays occur.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
