Posen Lady Vikings Take Down Unbeaten NMCA
POSEN, MI- Northern Michigan Christian Academy from Burt Lake made the trip east to Posen to take on a talented Vikings squad. The Vikings made sure the unbeaten season ended on their home floor as Posen took down NMCA 46-40 in overtime.
NMCA got off to a 14-5 lead in the first quarter. The Vikings responded with an 11-1 run to take a 16-15 lead, led by Junior Ella Szatkowski. The game remained tight in throughout the night, the Vikings led by as much as eight in the third quarter before NMCA rallied to force overtime.
The Vikings took control in the overtime session and would end the unbeaten season for NMCA.
Szatkowski led the way for the Vikings with 22 points. Mia Newhouse and Faith Cousins each scored 10 for the Vikings.
Posen is back in action on Friday night when they travel to Hillman.
