For our Pets of The Week we have two lovely dogs searching for their forever homes. WBKB’s Sarah Szostak spent some time in the snow today getting to know the two canine residents.

Starting off, we have Meeko. Meeko is a seven year old neutered Doberman that is gentle and loving. This boy wants nothing more than pets, cuddles, and to be part of your family. Meeko recently tested heartworm positive, so he will be required to limit his physical activity during treatment. The Humane Society is looking for a cat free home to foster him during his treatment.

Next up we have Juno, Juno is a four year old female husky mix that is looking for her forever home. She was featured on Pets of The Week earlier this fall, but is back again to let the community know she would love to find a home this holiday season. She has two different colored eyes and a huge heart. As a husky mix, she is quite the adventure dog and loves to burn her energy on walks. She is great with kids, cats, and dogs and would fit right in with an active family. A meet and greet is required to adopt and get to know this sweet girl.

Both dogs are available for adoption along with many others from the Alcona Humane Society. If you are interested in adopting, volunteering, or donating during this holiday season, feel free to visit their location in Lincoln from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. every day except Monday and Thursday.
