Partridge Point Park owners offer solutions to residents

ALPENA, Mich. –  A solution may soon be on the way for residents of one Alpena neighborhood.

Earlier this month residents of Partridge Point expressed their concerns to the Alpena Township Board of Trustees.

Neighbors said loud music, litter and speeding through the area are coming from visitors at the neighborhood park.

One member of the South Bay Association, which owns the park, offered a few solutions.

“I did send an email to Cody Stephens at the DNR Forestry Division after also talking to several of our board members, asking them to consider moving the gate that’s at the Frog Lane parking lot up closer to the road,” said South Bay Association Board member Larry Clark.

Clark said this will allow more cars to move through the area. He also mentioned wheelchair access at the park may be in the works.

Clark said he and other members of the association along with area residents have been working to clean litter in the park.
