More Resurfacing Work Headed to Alpena
The Alpena County Road Commission revealed that contract work will begin Tuesday, May 2 on Long Rapids Road from Collins Road to M-65. The Federal Surface Transportation Funds and the Alpena County Road Commission Matching Funds are funding the 2.35 mile project.
The total project is expected to be around $600,000. Traffic will be maintained during construction by using lane closures and flag control. Drivers should pay attention by reducing speed. The project is expected to take 4 weeks to complete.
