Man dies on boat
ALPENA, Mich. — The Alpena County Central Dispatch received a distress call earlier this afternoon from north of Thunder Bay Island in Lake Huron.
It was reported that a 77–year–old male was unconscious on a 30–foot sailing vessel.
First responders arrived on the scene where the male’s wife and son were performing CPR. Paramedics attempted to resuscitate the 77–year old but were unsuccessful.
His body was later transported by Federal NOAA officers and other officials into the Alpena City small boat harbor.
The family was sailing to Lake Michigan.
