Local restaurant proceeds with car show
ALPENA, Mich.– Our local Big Boy proceeded with their annual car show last night. There may not have been the bouncy houses or kids’ activities of previous years; but there were plenty of cars, enough to even spill over into the next lot!
The staff at Big Boy on Ripley Boulevard faced some serious questions about the event’s viability when the stay–at–home order was declared several months ago. However, they managed to find a way with their friends at the Ramblin’ Rods car club.
For the first time, they offered outdoor dining at the restaurant, and they brought in outhouses and sanitation stations to help people stay safe. According to manager Brittany Kieliszewski, this actually became one of the biggest turnouts they’ve had in a long time.
