Local museum to open ahead of first official day of summer
ALPENA, Mich.— As the first official day of summer rolls in this weekend, the Besser Museum will open its doors to the public Friday. Guests will need to make a reservation before entering the museum and only 25 people are allowed in the facility at one time.
Museum staff and visitors are required to use social distancing as well as wear a face covering. Guests will have an hour to tour the museum and staff will disinfect all areas during a thirty minute close time between each tour.
Hand sanitizer and masks will be available and visitors are asked not to touch exhibits and artifacts. Planetarium presentations will be shorter and the show time schedule is limited.
