Local agencies offer resources to small businesses
ALPENA, Mich.— Local agencies here in Alpena are teaming up to keep businesses operating. Starting today, small businesses and non–profits can start applying for grants and emergency loans to aid with expenses during COVID–19.
The Alpena Chamber of Commerce secured a $200,000 grant to redistribute to businesses in Alcona, Alpena, Iosco, Cheboygan and Presque Isle. Businesses owners also have the opportunity to apply for the paycheck protection program and the economic injury disaster loan.
Each loan aids with revenue loss, payroll and debts. Business owners are encouraged to apply as soon as today.
