Law Enforcement, Fire Departments, and Other Emergency Responders Train for ‘Active Shooter Situation’
The world is changing and so is the way of training.
It was a busy day at the Combat Readiness Training Center as law enforcement teams, fire departments, and other service members performed an “active shooter drill.”
According to Lieutenant John Grimshaw, there hasn’t been an “active shooter situation” in Northeast Michigan but there has been other scary situations.
Just this week in Toronto, Canada, an active shooter killed 2 people and wounded 13 others. With the updated training team members hope to see those conditions decrease.
Besides learning new techniques, these men and women learned other things and that’s working together as one no matter which service branch you come from.
