Jury Finds Brad Srebnik Guilty for the Murder of Brynn Bills and Abby Hill

The jury has reached a verdict in the trial of Brad Srebnik. They’ve found him guilty on all five counts.

He is guilty of premeditated murder of Brynn Bills and Abby Hill, mutilation of a body, felony firearm, and felon in possession of a firearm.

In closing arguments, Lead Prosecutor from the Michigan Attorney General’s Office, Danielle Hagaman–Clark said the evidence speaks for itself. “Ladies and gentlemen, once you’ve had a chance to review all of the evidence, there is no reasonable doubt here,” she said. “This defendant is guilty on all five counts and I ask that you find him so.”

In his closing argument, Defense Attorney Patrick Cherry tried to argue Srebnik is being blamed for something he didn’t do. “He thought the cops were on him for drugs,” he said. “He didn’t know they were on the run for murder. He didn’t know they were on the run for burying a body. He had no clue and everybody knew they just had to point the finger at him.”

Srebnik, who refused to be present for the verdict, now faces life in prison. Srebnik still has the right to be heard by the court of appeals.
