Grants offered to local residents implementing positive change
Great news for Alpena and other local residents looking to make a positive difference in their community as funding has become available to do just that.
ALPENA, Mich. — The Michigan Municipal League Foundation is offering six micro grants of up to $500 each for those doing innovative positive work in their community.
According to Foundation President, Helen Johnson, the initiative is to support a diverse group of individuals who are creatively driving positive change.
Johnson also added how emerging leaders play an important role in shaping the future.
The application window began yesterday and will remain active through August 14th. and semifinalists will be notified by August 20th.
