Funding available for struggling small businesses

ALPENA, Mich. — The Pure Michigan Small Business Relief Initiative will utilize federal CARES Act funding to aide businesses disproportionately impacted by COVID–19.

The relief initiative will provide 10 million in funding to meet the urgent needs of Michigan small businesses.

Alcona small business owner Ben Dietrich said the funds help a wide range of small businesses including restaurants, bars, travel and tourism.  Dietrich urges small businesses to be the first to apply as they applications are first come first serve.

Applications will be available on December 15, at 9:00 a.m. ET.  Grants will be awarded in the amount of up to $15,000 per eligible business.
