Former Alpena Public School employee faces new charges

ALPENA, Mich.— A former Alpena Public Schools custodian is facing new charges related to child pornography. Twenty-nine year old Scott Michael Henning is also charged with multiple counts of child sexual abusive material.

Henning was arrested back in August of this year; already facing charges related to operating a drug lab. According to APS Superintendent David Rabbideau, the 29 year old resigned from his duties as an afternoon janitor and did not come in contact with any students.

All APS employees are required to undergo a full background check, which Henning passed. Henning is currently lodged in the Alpena County Jail and is scheduled to go before a judge next week for these new charges.
