Derek Chowen Enters the Presidential Race

Derek Chowen, a graduate from Alpena high school in 1990 and currently lives in Charlevoix, MI has announced his candidacy for President of the United States in the 2024 election as an independent.

Mr. Chowen is a local community leader and also a Northern Michigan author. With a strong commitment to representing the interests and values of all Americans. Mr. Chowen brings a fresh perspective to the political battleground as he was born and raised in Northern Michigan, he understands the challenges families and communities face in today’s economy and political climate.

Mr. Chowen’s campaign will focus on key issues like restoring international standing, effective border security, tax system overhaul, private sector job creation, healthcare reform, educational reform and environmental protection. Mr. Chowen said, “We have a challenging process ahead of us, but together we can do anything.”
