Cold & Windy For Thursday

Alpena MI – A big difference when it comes to temperatures; we went form spring like temperatures to winter in one day. We saw highs in the 70s yesterday now some spots are in the teens with wind chills in the single digits. There was a 50 degree temperature difference from 24 hours ago, a flash freeze occurred. Tonight we will have a couple lake effect snow showers in the area early otherwise partly cloudy skies with lows in the teens. Winds will be West northwest at 15-25 with higher gusts up to 40 mph creating a wind chill that is in the single digits and even subzero category. Tomorrow will be the same with partly sunny skies and high in the 20s with winds out of the west at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. The warmer air returns for this weekend with highs back into the 50s and 60s.
