Black Panther items sell out in Alpena
ALPENA, Mich.— Black Panther comics, posters and actions figures have hardly stayed on the self at the local comic book store Bob’s Bull Pen. Black Panther was a character created in the late 1960’s during the Civil Rights Movement.
Black Panther was one of the original African American comics alongside characters Luke Cage and Blade. In 2018, Black Panther hit the big screen with Chadwick Boseman playing the lead character.
He lost his life last Friday following a four year battle with colon cancer. Boseman reportedly filmed the Black Panther movie while undergoing surgery and chemotherapy.
The 43-year old was known for embodying influential African American icons such as James Brown and Jackie Robinson. As people across the world continue to mourn the loss of Chadwick Boseman, forever fans are trying to get their hands on a little piece of Wakanda.
