Bipartisan agreement approved for K-12 students return to school

ALPENA, Mich. — State Representative Sue Allor joined the legislature in approving a bipartisan agreement to get K -12 students back to school safely this fall.

The plan for online, in–person, or hybrid instruction was determined to be the best course of action based on consultations with local health departments.

According to Allor, it’s incredibly important to Northern Michigan families that education continues during the COVID–19 pandemic.  Allor also said communities will stay safe with the flexibility for remote and in–person learning.

School boards will reexamine how they are delivering instruction to students at their monthly board meetings for the duration of the 2020–21 school year.
