Alpena seniors celebrating together
ALPENA, Mich. — Alpena High School seniors had Downtown Alpena all to themselves Friday for well– deserved fun. The seniors celebrated their upcoming graduation and unlike last year, they were able to do it together. They had a selfie station, music, food, and games.
Principal Tom Berriman said Friday was the first semblance of normal in over a year and added that if any group of kids deserved a day like Friday, it was this class.
Senior Brett Budnick said the year was challenging because of the restrictions, but he was happy to spend time with classmates he was unable to see in a while.
Instructor Laurie Lemont said her biggest challenge was trying to keep consistency through the way she teaches so that her students had a sense of normalcy.
