Alpena County Board of Commissioners announces nominations
ALPENA, Mich. — The Alpena County Board of Commissioners met Monday, January 4 and nominated their chairman and vice chairman. The board also discussed paid time off for county employees.
Commissioners nominated Robert Adrian as their Chairman which will be his fifth term for the board. Also nominated was Marty Thomson as vice chairman of the board.
He said 2020 has been his most trying year and shared the biggest challenge the board faces going forward.
Because of COVID–19, many employees could not use their PTO and lost that benefit as of January 1. Commissioners will meet this Thursday, January 7 to discuss the cap for paid time off for county employees.
