Alpena Township approves fireworks show
ALPENA, Mich. — It’s official, the Long Lake Lights Festival will return next summer.
The Alpena Township Board of Trustees approved the group’s request for the show during Monday night’s meeting.
Township Supervisor Nathan Skibbe told WBKB the group had their paperwork and safety checks in order.
They also have a track record for safe operation and the trust of the township.
As such, Skibbe said they were at no real risk of being declined.
