Slightly warmer Thursday; Gray skies this weekend

High temperatures today reached the mid-40s with sunshine this morning, briefly cloudy skies in the late-afternoon, and winds out of north at 5-10 mph.

Clearing skies already entering southwestern Lower Michigan will progress into our area this evening. But more substantial cloud cover currently over Minnesota and Iowa will follow late tomorrow. Showers currently over the southern Plains will enter our area tomorrow night or early Friday.


Overnight, mostly clear skies and light winds about 5 mph will allow low temperatures to drop to the upper 20s. Temperatures tomorrow morning will start in the upper 20s or near 30 degrees with mostly clear skies. Clouds will increase throughout the day, though a light breeze out of the south should push temperatures close to 50 degrees in the afternoon.

Showers are forecast on Friday, and will last through Trick or Treat hours. High temperatures are expected to reach 47 degrees, after that temperatures will drop to the mid-40s in late-afternoon, then lower 40s during the evening.

Skies should remain dry throughout the daytime hours tomorrow as highs reach 50 degrees in the afternoon. The chance of showers increases on Friday with highs in the upper 40s. A lower chance of showers will remain in our area through the weekend.
