MidMichigan welcomes new nurse practitioner
ALPENA, Mich. — A new nurse practitioner joins the MidMichigan Alpena team and is welcoming patients of all ages to her practice.
Family Nurse Practitioner Megan Layton recently moved to Alpena after working as a registered nurse with Covenant Hospital in Saginaw County. She earned her Master of Science degree as a family nurse practitioner at Saginaw Valley State University. Layton said her husband was influential in the move to Alpena being that he is from Alcona County.
Layton says today’s medical care is usually about numbers and how many patients you’re seeing. She shares what she plans to bring to the table and what she feels is missing as a provider.
