Week Five Fifth Down Highlights
ALPENA, Mich. — Week Five of High School Football is in the books, with one Thursday night game and the rest of our area teams in action on Friday.
Starting with 11-man football, Alpena traveled to Traverse City West, and the Wildcats lost to the Titans 40-0. Johannesburg Lewiston lost to Frankfort 14-8. East Jordan beat Oscoda 38-0, and Tawas lost to Cheboygan 60-28.
Atlanta was in action on Thursday and they lost to Pellston 56-36, after the Huskies tied the game in the 4th. Hale lost at Hillman by two points, 22-20. Au Gres Sims stayed undefeated against Alcona, beating the visiting Tigers 72-32. Rogers City took care of Posen 38-0, Mio topped the Whittemore Prescott Cardinals 56-16, and Onaway lost to St. Mary’s 42-6.
