ALPENA, Mich. — Alpena will get an update on PFAs contamination at the Combat Readiness Training Center next month.
Alpena residents can tune into a digital meeting, hosted by the CRTC, on December 15.
Multiple groups, including the local health department, will present the most recent findings from their investigations.
PFAs are a broad family of chemicals which stay intact for a very long time. Rather than break down, they build up in the environment and work their way into living things.
The chemicals were first confirmed on the base in 2017.
