Michigan Works! to resume walk-in services Monday, June 28

ALPENA, Mich. — Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium has announced effective Monday, June 28 they will officially reopen for walk-in services at six of their northeast Michigan service centers.

Michigan Works! provides assistance to first-time job seekers, individuals changing careers, looking for training or education, or need assistance with removing barriers that keep them from gainful employment. Current available programs even include tuition and support services assistance (to help cover books, fees, mileage, and more) for those seeking training in an in-demand occupation (must meet program requirements and qualifications).

For immediate service, individuals are encouraged to visit their local Michigan Works! Service Center. For those who prefer to continue utilizing virtual options or to schedule an appointment with Michigan Works!, you can visit www.nemcworks.org or call 1-800-285-WORK.

The locations and hours can be found below for each location:

Alpena Service Center, 315 W Chisholm
Open Mon, Tues, Wed, & Fri from 8:00am-5pm and Thurs 9am-5pm

Cheboygan Service Center, 11153 N Straits Hwy
Open Mon, Tues, Wed, & Fri from 8:30am-4:30pm and Thurs 9am-4:30pm

Gaylord Service Center, 2927 D&M Drive
Open Mon, Tues, Wed, & Fri from 8:30am-4:30pm and Thurs 9am-4:30pm

Grayling Service Center, 4595 Salling Dr
Open Mon, Tues, Wed, & Fri from 8:30am-4:30pm and Thurs 9am-4:30pm

Onaway Service Center, 20709 State St
