Alpena Township hosts public Q&A
ALPENA, Mich. — Alpena Township Board of Trustees gave people in the community a chance to ask questions and provide input regarding the fire department. The special Q&A meeting is in response to the Township Fire Department contracting services with the city.
One community member raised concerns over the timing of Supervisor Nathan Skibbe’s re–election and the consolidation of both fire departments. Other concerns had to do with EMS response time.
Public hearing began Thursday evening and lasted for more than three hours.
