TRAVERS CITY, Mich. — Taste the Local Difference is using an online shopping platform to connect growers to consumers who want fresh food items while also supporting their favorite farmers market.
Chief Executive Officer Tricia Phelps says the online shopping experience is made possible through a sales software for food businesses and is a fast growing response to the current global health crisis.
“This pivot is being done in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it really is an opportunity to open a larger market long-term,” Phelps said. “I think it opens up a huge opportunity for these farmers.”
