Great Beach Weather Friday; Steamy This Weekend With a Couple of Storms

Most areas around Northeast Michigan reached highs close to 80 degrees today, shown below, and similar temperatures are forecast tomorrow. The clear skies around Northeast Michigan will continue through tomorrow morning, then clouds will increase.

Tomorrow will start with sunny skies and morning temperatures in the lower 60s. A breeze out of the southeast will pick up to 10-15 mph in the afternoon, with a high of 79 degrees. Clouds will build in from the west tomorrow afternoon and evening. The first chance of showers and thunderstorms will move in late Friday night.

Temperatures will heat up this weekend, as winds shift out of the south. High temperatures will warm into the 80s on Saturday, then most areas will reach 90 degrees on Sunday with high humidity levels. The steamy combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will come to an end on Monday. High temperatures will be in the 70s Monday and Tuesday.

On Saturday, scattered showers and thunderstorms will move through Northeast Michigan, mostly in the morning and afternoon. A couple of thunderstorms could be strong on Saturday with some localized hail and localized strong wind gusts. Most of Sunday should be rain-free but feeling sticky, though there is a chance of thunderstorms in the evening. A final round of rain will roll through Monday during the day, followed by clearing skies late. By Monday, high temperatures will cool into the 70s.
