Oak City Contractors presented a $1000 check to the Alpena Senior Center in honor of their current fundraiser, Ken’s March Against Senior Hunger.
The fundraiser was named after Ken Fader who was a Meals on Wheels volunteer. Fader lost his life earlier this year in a tragic car accident.
Director Anne Hepburn said it’s a blessing to have local businesses step up. Fundraisers like the March Against Hunger are crucial.
The fundraiser will be active until April 26th, which is the date of the luxury event thanking everyone who helped raise money.
The goal is to reach $30,000.
If you would like to donate contact the center today at 989–356–3585. Local businesses around Alpena also have special envelopes for donations as well.
