Bright Wednesday with much lower humidity; Humidity increases late-week

Temperatures have become cooler throughout Northeast Michigan. A cold front came through Tuesday with isolated showers, most didn’t see a drop of rain. More noticeably, winds have flipped out of the north which has introduced cooler temperatures. Highs reached 77 degrees in Alpena, 80 degrees in Oscoda, Michigan and even colder in Rogers City, Michigan at 70 degrees.

A region of clearing will continue to move over the Great Lakes region. We will see mostly sunny skies Saturday. Then a storm system currently over Montana and Wyoming will move east. This will bring a low-end chance of showers/thunderstorms Thursday, but frankly it’s not looking impressive for our area.

Wednesday’s chance of rain is nearly zero. Thursday has a medium chance of showers/thunderstorms in the afternoon, but nowhere near a guarantee. The weather looks to clear up for Friday.

Wednesday will be dry, and Thursday will feel comfortable with lower dew points. Then dew points will rise to the 60s Friday, making it feel more humid. The stickiest day will likely be Staurday.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Predawn lows will drop to around 53 degrees. Late-morning temperatures will rise to the upper 60s. Temperatures will reach a high close to 76 degrees in the afternoon. Evening temperatures will be mainly in the 60s.

Thursday: Possibly a spotty shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon. Early-morning lows will head down to about 53 degrees. Afternoon highs will get up to near 78 degrees. Evening temperatures will fall to the lower 70s and 60s.

Friday: Partly cloudy and becoming more humid. Early-morning lows will be close to 57 degrees. Afternoon highs will warm up to about 79 degrees. Evening temperatures will go to the lower 70s and upper 60s.
