Blood Donations Needed During The Holidays
Blood donations are needed now more than ever in the weeks leading up to the holidays.
During this time, many regular donors neglect to keep up with their blood donations, as they are busy with holiday activities, so the blood banks see a significant drop in blood supply. You can make a difference by simply taking an hour out of your day to visit one of the blood donation locations in the next two weeks.
This weekend, November 1st, will be Alpena’s first opportunity to give blood. From 8:45 am to 1:30 pm, stop by Lafarge Corporation conference room to make a donation. If you can’t make that time, there will be another opportunity November 9th at First Presbyterian Church. For those in Presque Isle, there will be an opportunity to donate on November 14th at the Rogers City Area Senior Center.
