APlex to host competitive Cornhole
ALPENA, Mich.– Competitive Cornhole is coming to Alpena.
That’s right; this staple of graduation parties has a professional scene. And next Saturday, March 20, that scene will be set on the APlex tennis courts with the 45th Parallel tournament.
Founder Kyle Apsey said he fell in love with the game about two years ago and wants to share his passion.
Apsey added that this weekend’s participants also get a musical bonus.
“There is also a Bon Jovi tribute concert the same day as the 20th. And after the tournament, everyone who comes to that tournament will get a free ticket to the Bon Jovi tribute concert.”
Participants must bring their own bags.
Registration starts at 11 and the tournament starts at 12.
Apsey said he plans on running tournaments and a league every month.
