Alpena City Council approves recycling bins

ALPENA, Mich. — Alpena City Council approved a grant from The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy to place plastic recycling bins in Alpena.

The grant provides a little over $58,000 toward a project cost of over $70,000.  The bins are currently on order and are expected to be placed in the downtown parks during the summer.
