Drug Take Back Day kicks off this month
ALPENA, Mich.— The Northeast Michigan Community Mental Health Authority in partnership with other local agencies is teaming up for their annual Drug Take Back Day.
Residents can dispose of any unused or expired medications on Saturday October 24th at the Alpena County Fire Department. This event allows, patients a way to drop off medications in a safe and proper way.
According to the Opioid Prescribing Engagement Network, 7 out of 10 people who misuse opioids got them from friends or family members.
The event will begin at 10 am.
