Water services to shut off temporarily
ALPENA, Mich.– The intersection of South Second Avenue and Wisner Street will be closed on Monday, October 19.
The intersection is being closed so that the city can replace a water valve. As part of the replacement, water will be shutoff on South Second Avenue from Blair to Bingham, and on Wisner Street from South First to South Third Avenue. The water will be shut off roughly from 8:00 A.M. until 5 P.M.
Once the work is complete, residents are advised to wait until the water runs clear before drinking, cleaning dishes or preparing food.
