ALPENA, Mich. — Between COVID–19 and winter approaching, caring for some four-legged furry friends may be the therapy you need.
Huron Humane Society Office Manager, Kaitlyn Tree, said volunteer opportunities is for everyone from older adults to children. Tree said opportunities range from playing with the animals to doing dishes, laundry or painting.
Tree also explained why it’s a win win for both the animals and volunteers. She adds that she has seen bonds formed between the animals and the volunteers.
