The festival was a huge success with over 50 films this year. The second annual event was held in different locations throughout Alpena including Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary, and the Alpena Civic Theatre.
Trying to bring a unique flavor to the art of film and filmmaking producer, Krissy Kinney said folks don’t realize all of the hard work that goes into making a production.
Trying to expose Alpena as a hidden treasure, Kinney said the staff wants to encourage more tourist and filmmakers to come into town.
Winners were also announced at the end of the festival. Northeast Michigan resident, Mary Ellen Jones won an award for her documentary, ‘Blood Memory.’
