Snowy and freezing weekend ahead

A mix of sunshine, clouds, and flurries dominated the Sunrise Side as the workweek concluded. Tonight is a transitional period between the mostly dry conditions early to increasing snow chances late. Temperatures for tonight will be milder and closer to average for early February.

Snow becomes the main headline for the weekend as a new storm system marches in with the heaviest activity taking place Saturday night. Snow amounts can reach up to 6 inches once the storm departs on Sunday. Weekend temperatures will be warmer on Saturday and cooling off a few degrees by Sunday.

The workweek plans to be quite the opposite of the weekend as chances of snow will be fairly limited thanks to a building high pressure. The only constant throughout the weekend and workweek is that temperatures remain below average.
